Our extensive services encompass specialized units such as the only inpatient oncology unit in the area, the Orthopedic Spine and Hand Center, and the Family Birth Center, among others.
As a part of our commitment to quality care, we are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our esteemed surgical team.
Position Summary:
The RNFA is a perioperative nursing professional who collaborates closely with surgeons and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. During surgical procedures, the RNFA operates under the surgeon's guidance, providing essential support and care.
The RNFA is responsible for:
- Delivering personalized patient care throughout the preoperative and postoperative phases.
- Utilizing the perioperative nursing process to plan and implement patient care and education.
- Participating in emergencies and community disaster response as needed.
This role requires flexibility to work scheduled hours, including holidays, weekends, and on-call shifts. The RNFA must also be vigilant in reporting any perceived misconduct or violations of standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A valid California RN license.
- BLS certification (AHA required).
- ACLS certification.
- Completion of an accredited RNFA program.
- CNOR/PON, NP, or PA credentials.
- A minimum of five years of Operating Room experience.
- Previous RNFA experience is preferred.
