Job Title: Sous Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Glass & Vine. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of menu items, as well as overseeing the kitchen staff and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of menu items
  • Oversee the kitchen staff and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards
  • Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
  • Develop and implement new menu items and recipes
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff
  • Monitor and control food costs and inventory
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are met

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
