Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. This includes pre-procedure assessment, administration of moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring during procedures, and post-procedure recovery and teaching. The successful candidate will be a team player who is able to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provides competent, compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
- Administers moderate sedation and monitors patients during procedures.
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provides education and support to patients and families.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Experience in critical care, emergency department, or procedural experience.
- Good clinical background in pulmonology preferred.
The Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology will work in a fast-paced, high-acuity patient care environment with exposure to some radiation during fluoroscopy procedures. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to ensure optimal patient care.
