JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the General Manager and Kitchen Manager, the Nighttime Culinary Specialist is responsible for preparing and presenting meals according to our menu and operational standards. Compliance with all food safety regulations at the federal, state, and local levels is mandatory.
Key Functions
- Ability to lift and transport supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs during shifts; placing items on high and low shelves as necessary
- Capability to bend, stoop, reach, wipe, lift, and grasp
- Mobility to navigate a confined kitchen environment
- Familiarity with all menu items
- Ability to read and interpret tickets, recipes, and product specifications
- Effective hearing skills in a bustling kitchen to respond to team and guest needs
- Compliance with health regulations concerning food handling
- Ability to work with potentially hazardous substances
- Tolerance for extreme temperature variations in kitchen and storage areas
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to ensure that food is prepared and presented according to brand standards
- Basic math skills, including understanding units of measure
- Compliance with health regulations regarding food handling
- Ability to pass all necessary training and assessments for the role
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Strong guest service skills
- Dependability and ability to follow instructions
- Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Respect for diversity and the ability to work collaboratively with others
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand and walk for approximately 85%-95% of the shift; lift and carry items weighing between 10-65 lbs; move freely throughout the kitchen; operate kitchen equipment safely.
