Overview:
As a Registered Nurse in Radiation Oncology, you will deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in alignment with established standards and organizational values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops, implements, and assesses individualized patient care plans to enhance outcomes and utilize resources effectively.
  • Observes, documents, and communicates patient status as necessary. Collaborates across various disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and addressing spiritual and psychosocial needs.
  • Identifies educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored education that considers age, culture, and specific circumstances.
  • Delegates patient care tasks to support staff effectively. May mentor nursing students and new team members.
  • Requires critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or state board approved Registered/Professional Nursing program with less than 3 years of experience.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Minimum of 6 months nursing experience required.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, valid prior to start date.
