Role Summary:
As a Safety and Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a secure and welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of safety and security functions aimed at protecting the well-being of everyone on the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and visitors, confirming their purpose for visiting.
  • Authenticate the identification of all individuals entering the facility.
  • Guide patients and visitors accurately to their intended destinations within the center.
  • Utilize the visitor management system to log visitor information and issue identification badges.
  • Restrict access to individuals as per security protocols or patient requests.
  • Monitor visitor departures by collecting and scanning badges to maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, ensuring all security measures are upheld.
  • Respond promptly to any life safety or security emergencies.
  • Address service requests efficiently.
  • Provide escort services for individuals as needed.
  • Assist in compiling detailed reports for security incidents.
  • Support investigations into any suspicious activities within the facility.
  • Participate in legal proceedings as necessary to provide testimony regarding incidents.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in safety or security roles.
  • Completion of specific training and certifications within the initial employment period, including:
    • Unarmed Security Officer Certification
    • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license is preferred.
