Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Leasing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for leasing our properties, conducting applicant screenings, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Market and lease available units to prospective tenants, showcasing the unique features of each property.
- Conduct thorough applicant screenings, including background checks and income verifications, to ensure the suitability of potential residents.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Low-Income Tax Credit and Housing (LITCH) regulations and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and process lease agreements in accordance with LITCH guidelines, prioritizing accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents, responding promptly to inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to facilitate seamless property tours and showings, ensuring a positive experience for all parties involved.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of leasing activities, utilizing property management software to streamline processes.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Leasing Specialist in the property management industry, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of Low-Income Tax Credit and Housing (LITCH) regulations, with the ability to stay updated on changes and developments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, residents, and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in property management software, such as Yardi or AppFolio, with experience using similar tools and systems.
Benefits:
- A competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
