Position: Board Certified/Eligible Internal Medicine PhysicianCompany: Summit Health Inc
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and document comprehensive medical histories of patients.
- Perform thorough physical examinations and administer vaccinations.
- Identify and manage both acute and chronic health conditions.
- Provide education and counseling to promote health and wellness.
- Prescribe appropriate medications or collaborate with support staff for care delivery.
- Order diagnostic tests and make referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Prioritize patient care and coordinate with other healthcare providers.
- Oversee the work of advanced practice providers.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain all necessary medical licenses and certifications.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to elevate care standards.
- Participate in case management activities within the healthcare team.
- Medical Degree from an accredited institution
- Valid MD or DO license in the relevant state
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine
- Active DEA registration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
