Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team as a Travel Therapist. As a Travel Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication and swallowing disorders, and develop effective treatment plans to address these issues.
  • Treatment Planning: Create individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each patient, including speech, language, and swallowing therapy.
  • Therapy Implementation: Implement treatment plans through various therapeutic techniques, including speech, language, and swallowing exercises.
  • Counseling and Education: Provide counseling and education to patients and their families on ways to cope with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitoring and Adjusting: Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech language pathology to provide evidence-based care.
  • Ethics and Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for patients' needs and rights, and provide support to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.

Requirements:

  • Valid and Unencumbered State License: Possess a valid and unencumbered state license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Recent Experience: Have recent experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a rehab setting.
  • BLS Certification: Possess a BLS certification.
