Job Overview

This position outlines the fundamental responsibilities expected of the independent contractor. The contractor is anticipated to execute these duties along with any additional tasks as necessary. Modifications to this description may occur at any time without prior notification.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Evaluate afterschool initiatives for school-aged children to verify adherence to Prime Time standards utilizing the PBC-PQA assessment tool.
  2. Compose detailed reports electronically reflecting the findings from observations, applying insights gained from QIS training, and scoring appropriately.
  3. Deliver assessment reports to the assessment manager within ten business days following the final observation at the program site.
  4. Provide a monthly invoice that accurately represents the services rendered by the end of each month, submitted electronically.
  5. Complete a visit validation form quarterly to the assessment manager during quarterly meetings.
  6. Maintain communication with the assessment manager regarding any scheduling changes and respond to requests for clarification on reports as necessary.

General Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the initial quarterly Quality Advisor/Assessor meeting at the start of the school year and attend subsequent quarterly meetings as possible.
  2. Upon receiving and reviewing the program schedule, reach out to the organization to confirm the visit one business day prior to or on the day of the observation. Once dates and times are confirmed, communicate this information to the assessment manager via email.
  3. If the director is unavailable, leave a message with a program staff member.
  4. Notify the QIS assessment manager immediately if unable to conduct an observation or if there are any changes, noting that reassignment to another organization may be required.
  5. Attend annual reliability training and achieve a minimum score of 75 percent during a field observation with Prime Time's assessment manager or designated representative.
  6. Participate in Palm Beach County Public School Emergency Code System response and training workshops.

Leadership:

  • Actively contribute towards achieving the shared vision of Prime Time for out-of-school time programs.
  • Exemplify behaviors that align with Prime Time's organizational values.

Client Relations:

  1. Represent Prime Time positively by making a favorable impression with OST staff upon arrival and throughout the visit to foster a welcoming environment.
  2. Value diversity and treat others with honesty and respect.
  3. Maintain a friendly demeanor at all times.
  4. Arrive 15 minutes early to meet with the director or site contact for introductions on the day of the visit and to discuss the number of observations to be conducted. If returning for a second day, confirm the schedule for the following day with the director or site contact before leaving.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  2. Ability to work autonomously.
  3. Excellent time management capabilities.
  4. Capacity to recognize and appropriately handle sensitive situations.
  5. Proficient in preparing and maintaining accurate electronic records and reports.
  6. Experience in report writing.

Position Requirements:

  1. Responsibilities are carried out off-site in an afterschool context.
  2. Regular access to transportation is necessary to visit programs and conduct assessments throughout Palm Beach County.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in human services, health, or a related field, complemented by at least five years of professional experience in programming or program development within human services or education, ideally in an elementary or middle school afterschool setting.

  • Proficient in computer usage and possess excellent writing skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and dependable transportation required.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessment and evaluation.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Palm Beach County.
  • Able to work under pressure while organizing and planning effectively.
  • High interpersonal skills are preferred.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, and stretching may be required.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to endure observations of outdoor activities.
