Acute Care Physical Therapy Professional

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team at MedStar National Rehabilitation Network. As a member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Primary Duties:
- Provide evidence-based physical therapy services to patients in accordance with accreditation guidelines, licensing regulations, and professional standards.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for self-care and injury prevention, promoting healthy lifestyle choices and empowering individuals to manage their health effectively.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes, identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to optimize care delivery.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the District of Columbia or eligibility for licensure within six months of hire date.
- Minimum two years of experience in rehabilitation or acute care setting preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
