As a Charge Nurse - Behavioral Health Specialist at LifeBridge Health, you will play a critical role in providing safe and effective patient care in our Behavioral Health department. This is a full-time position with a weekend commitment, working day shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, assessing and addressing the physical and emotional needs of patients in a behavioral health setting.
- Function as an advisor, resource, and leader for other members of the patient care team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and educational programs to enhance patient care and staff development.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based solutions to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college) in a related field.
- 2 or more years of experience in a clinical specialty, with a focus on behavioral health.
- Nursing Certification in a specialty area within 3-5 years of hire.
- 1-3 years of experience in a leadership or management role, with a focus on behavioral health.
- Current Maryland Registered Nurse License and American Heart Association BLS Certification.
