Job Summary

L&R Distributors is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment within our office premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure cleanliness and tidiness of office areas, including workstations, meeting rooms, common areas, and restrooms.
  • Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, carpets, and furniture.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, windows, and glass.
  • Empty and clean waste receptacles and dispose of trash in designated areas.
  • Restock and maintain supplies in restrooms and break areas.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the HR Manager.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other related materials.
  • Adhere to established health and safety protocols while performing cleaning duties.
  • Ensure the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the office and HR Managers to identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and respond to requests or inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Provide assistance and support during office moves, furniture setups, and other facility-related projects.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in office cleaning, janitorial services, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions

Moderate physical activity, approximately 50 to 75% of time performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily product/technical nature and regularly lifting of items weighing up to 10-20 pounds.
