The AWS Data Center Security team is seeking a dynamic and innovative Program Manager to oversee security initiatives within the data center environment in the Northern Virginia/Greater Washington D.C. area. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our security measures are robust and effective.

Key Responsibilities
As a Program Manager, you will:

  • Lead project management efforts for physical security systems related to new constructions, expansions, and renovations.
  • Prepare comprehensive project lifecycle documentation, including bid packages, specifications, compliance with codes, vendor management, budgeting, and closeout documentation.
  • Stay informed about emerging physical security technologies and evaluate their relevance to our security programs.
  • Provide expert guidance to leadership for strategic decisions regarding security technologies and procedures.
  • Monitor performance metrics, including vendor service delivery, budget variances, and post-installation defect rates.
  • Manage vendor relationships throughout the onboarding, RFQ, bidding, contract, and quality assurance processes.
  • Effectively manage substantial budgets for infrastructure projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support global security initiatives.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience utilizing data and metrics to drive improvements.

  • A strong background in physical security project management and operations.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will also possess:

  • A BA/BS degree or higher in a related field.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering physical security projects within an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge in physical security design, systems deployment, and construction management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and physical security design.
  • Certifications such as PSP, CPP, or PMP.
