Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome, guide, and schedule patients and visitors.
  • Gather insurance and patient details, provide necessary forms, and obtain required signatures.
  • Input new and existing patient data into the system.
  • Handle incoming calls, arrange patient appointments, and relay messages as needed.
  • Conduct patient care tasks related to data entry and account management.
  • Process payments and address inquiries regarding insurance claims, disability benefits, home health services, medical equipment, surgical procedures, medical records, and patient referrals.
  • Engage with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues in a caring, professional manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Education that enables effective communication in both written and verbal forms.
  • Familiarity with office procedures, medical terminology, and insurance processes is advantageous.
  • Proficient computer skills, typing abilities, and basic mathematical knowledge.
  • One year of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, or two years in a customer-facing role.
  • CPR certification is a plus.

Additional Skills:
  • Ability to greet patients and answer phone calls in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Capability to sort, read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficient in organizing and filing materials accurately.
  • Demonstrated initiative and flexibility to take on additional responsibilities during staff absences and adapt to varying workloads.
  • Strong communication skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
