Certified Nursing Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Hospital for Special Care. As a member of our Transitional Rehabilitation Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction and supervision of licensed nurses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist licensed nurses with patient care, including vital signs, grooming, and mobility
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Participate in unit-based committees and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Connecticut
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a CNA preferred
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical records
