About the Role

The Warehouse Lead is a key position within our Distribution & Warehouse Operations team, responsible for leading and coaching warehouse associates to achieve their daily tasks and goals. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, packaging, inventory control, and material handling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and develop new warehouse associates and forklift drivers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular observations and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to team members.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment, such as forklifts, to move products and materials within the warehouse.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and reports, including shipping and tracking labels, to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in inventory and cycle count activities to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies to leadership.
  • Perform daily safety inspections of forklifts and ensure the warehouse is inspection-ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer audits.
  • Communicate and report any incidents or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Ensure product rotation procedures are followed to maintain a safe and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Review and analyze daily production reports to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2 years of warehouse or distribution experience and 6 months of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Licensed forklift operator or ability to obtain a Forklift Operator license required.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
