Job Overview

Comoto Holdings is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer Tech Lead to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our Retail Point of Sale (POS) system and providing technical direction for solutions of complex problems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Elixir, in-depth knowledge of retail operations and POS platforms, and experience leading a team of junior-to-senior-level engineers. They will also possess effective leadership skills and the ability to drive results, as well as a strong background in integrating POS systems with external and internal systems.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Co-leading a scrum team with the Product Owner and being accountable for the Retail POS team's outcomes
  • Supporting and developing software engineers (junior-to-senior level)
  • Providing coaching to software engineers on the team to follow best practices
  • Being an active participant in strategic planning discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Providing technical direction for solutions of complex problems while staying consistent with overall solution architecture

Qualifications include:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Elixir
  • In-depth knowledge of retail operations and POS platforms
  • Experience leading a team of junior-to-senior-level engineers
  • Effective leadership skills and the ability to drive results
  • Strong background in integrating POS systems with external and internal systems
