PennState Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cardiac ultrasound studies under the supervision of a senior sonographer or physician, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care, addressing medical imaging needs and contributing to diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in cardiac ultrasound technology, staying up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on cardiac ultrasound procedures and results.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; formal training in cardiac ultrasound and relevant experience preferred.
  • ARDMS or CCI registration or eligibility required; registration within one year of start date.
  • BLS certification within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate from a formal training program in cardiac ultrasound and two years of experience preferred.
  • Experience with pediatric and TEE procedures preferred.
