In this role, you will be instrumental in providing support to our Field Service team throughout the United States, particularly focusing on the dynamic Midwest region.

While the position requires approximately 30% travel for installations, maintenance, repairs, and training, comprehensive training will be provided. You will have the chance to learn from experienced Senior Field Service Engineers and, when not traveling, you will work from our main office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure equipment for clients, ensuring optimal performance through thorough testing and user training.
  • Offer technical assistance, perform preventive maintenance, and address equipment upkeep to meet client specifications.
  • Conduct extensive training sessions for clients, fostering innovation and ensuring ongoing performance enhancements and complete customer satisfaction.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, including calibration, testing, and upgrades of hardware/software.
  • Become a technical expert on existing and new equipment, providing valuable insights and solutions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues through various methods, including phone support, log file analysis, or on-site visits.
  • Manage inventory of repair parts and provide insights on parts usage related to failures.
  • Participate in domestic and international conferences, service summits, expert meetings, trade shows, and workshops.
  • Provide service support for the designated territory as required, maintaining accurate service records and documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • A BS/AAS in a technical field such as Engineering or Electronics, or equivalent experience of 3+ years in Field Service for CNC equipment.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in field service or maintenance roles, with a focus on troubleshooting CNC or related electromechanical equipment in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to technical excellence.
  • Demonstrated empathy and professionalism in customer interactions, striving to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and management.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in documenting work performed.
  • Essential experience includes fabrication of parts, installations, mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, motion control, and mechanical alignment.
  • Willingness to travel 30%+ to meet business needs.
