At Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is committed to providing exceptional service to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for visits with providers by performing and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, temperatures, pulse, weight, and other procedures as needed.
- Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
- Review patients' medical records for completeness and update prior to patients' visit.
- Assist in routine medical examinations by preparing the patient, equipment, and supplies, and assisting the provider as needed.
- Book patients for tests and appointments with outside facilities and/or specialists.
- Provide guidance to non-clinical staff regarding clinical issues, such as phone triage.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness in patients, including children and infants.
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
- Understand and follow the organization's Mission Statement, Organizational Policies, and Structure.
- Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse licensure.
- Current Infection Control Certificate.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Minimum 2 years of similar work, internship, or volunteer experience required.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Proficiency with computer technology.
- Demonstrate interpersonal relationship skills.
- Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all populations served.
