About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Representative to join our team at Apreé Health. This role is a crucial link between patients and our clinical care team, requiring exceptional interpersonal customer service skills and the ability to maintain professionalism at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

Welcome and greet patients in a friendly and helpful manner, determining their purpose of visit and directing them to the appropriate person or department.Maintain great customer service at all times, resolving conflicts and issues promptly.Schedule appointments for patients and update patient information in the EMR as needed.Conduct daily outreach to remind patients of next-day appointments and proactive outreach as directed by clinic leadership.Perform day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties.Collect and process payments at time of service.Answer numerous phone calls while embedding Urgent/Emergent protocols and using a multi-line system with high customer service standards.Contact insurance companies or other associated companies as needed for patient care, verifying eligibility and collecting copays when necessary.Attend team meetings and huddles, collaborating on team priorities.Exercise problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient concerns, referring patients to designated personnel as needed.Adhere to clinical policies on safety and security, maintaining restricted areas confidentiality.Exemplify diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service to patients.Prioritize patient care and services, working collaboratively with internal/external departments and the care center to foster an environment promoting patient comfort and trust.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced phone skills to effectively serve patients via telephone and in-person.
  • Additional language abilities are preferred.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Understanding of HIPAA standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge and skills.
