Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Representative to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for performing various tasks under close supervision, including filling, packing, wrapping, protecting, consolidating, and arranging orders according to instructions. You will also safely operate warehouse equipment to assist with moving product, assist with loading and unloading trucks, and ensure the shop floor is supplied with required parts and materials.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various tasks for the logistics department, including filling, packing, wrapping, protecting, consolidating, and arranging orders according to instructions.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment to assist with moving product.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks.
- Ensure the shop floor is supplied with required parts and materials.
- Assist with cycle counts.
- Work with various departments to ensure availability of requested parts and materials.
- Distribute parts and materials as required.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with regulatory requirements, production standards, and Client Business Conduct guidelines.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0-2 years of experience related to job duties. Additional experience preferred.
- Basic competence in computer programs (MS Office programs). Experience with ERP software may be a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic measurements and measuring equipment.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely.
- Attention to detail.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
- Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
- Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
- Ability to use computer and software related to job duties.
