Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our team at NCW Libraries. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This role is responsible for delivering library materials, supplies, and equipment to and from branch libraries and the Distribution Center. You will be required to drive an assigned route, collect and load daily deliveries, and maintain accurate records of mileage, vehicle inspections, and bin counts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliveries: Collects and loads daily deliveries into truck, drives established route, delivers loads and picks up items for return to Distribution Center, secures buildings upon departure, and reports problems as appropriate.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Performs minor repairs, inspects vehicle, and reports malfunctions or service requirements to Fleet and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Building Maintenance: Assists with minor building maintenance tasks, including hanging bulletin boards, taking out trash and recycling, warehousing duties, painting, and snow removal.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, 1-3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Computer skills helpful, working knowledge of NCW Libraries database software desired.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $17.88-$24.03 per hour, with 11 steps in the pay scale. Employees with good performance can expect to receive an annual step progression of 3% on their anniversary date. Additional benefits include Employee Assistance Program, Employer Paid Dental, Vision and Life and LTD for the employee, Medical coverage available, paid holidays, sick leave, vacation leave, and other types of paid time off.
