Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Nursing Officer to administer our nursing program and ensure the highest standards of resident care. This role will oversee the optimization of the geriatric care process, improve the quality and efficiency of service, and advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators on matters related to nursing service and strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer the nursing program and maintain standards of resident care
  • Facilitate the optimization of the geriatric care process
  • Responsible for the overall quality of care provided by the organization's nursing personnel
  • Advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators on matters related to nursing service and strategies
  • Interpret policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups
  • Monitor operations of nursing staff and ensure compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices
  • Schedule staff and conduct employee performance reviews
  • Provide nursing care to residents on an as needed basis
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing activities/programs inclusive of community activities, special events, and media activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred, but not required
  • Five years nursing experience required
  • Housing with Services, housing and urban development (HUD), and/or assisted living experience also helpful
  • Thorough knowledge of the nursing practice act and standards of nursing care
  • A working knowledge of administrative and management techniques
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 based on location and industry standards.
