Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Providence St. Joseph Health. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will perform ultrasound procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment and initiative to apply non-ionizing, high-frequency ultrasonic waves to patients for ultrasound diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures, including ultrasound imaging, to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of ultrasound principles to ensure accurate and effective imaging.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision, to manage patient care and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques to ensure continued professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • Completion of an education program that meets ARDMS prerequisite requirements for RDMS examination.
  • National Registered Technologist - Sonography certification.
  • National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Vendor Managed).
  • National Provider BLS certification.
  • Preferred qualifications: Experience in assisting with OB procedures, such as CVS, PUBS, and amniocentesis.
