Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to students and staff, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, teachers, and other staff members to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Valid California driver's license and evidence of insurability.
  • Current valid California State license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency prior to the first date of employment; maintain valid and current certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Previous experience working with special needs children.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Previous experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse groups.
  • Previous experience in a school district or government entity setting.
