Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to join our team at Placer County. As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for performing professional and technical engineering work related to public works/civil engineering projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare plans and specifications for public works projects
  • Administer design and construction contracts
  • Participate in the plan check, review, processing, and permitting of plans for private developments
  • Represent the Department at various public hearings and meetings
  • Perform traffic engineering services relative to existing and proposed roads

Requirements:

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field
  • May need to possess a valid driver's license as required by the position
