Austin Motel is a beloved, quintessential part of the city's history, sitting in the heart of South Congress' famed strip of restaurants, clubs, and shops.

Our 1930's motor court property includes 41 guest rooms, a 50's-style outdoor pool and sun deck, community and cultural programming, and a renegade-style retail shop to the lobby, all set amidst the original midcentury architecture.

Our Mission

We're looking for someone with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to excellence.

As a Housekeeper at Austin Motel, you'll be responsible for ensuring our guests have a comfortable and memorable stay.

Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies, and procedures, manuals, memos, and oral instructions.
  2. Responsible for completing an in-room checklist for each room assigned.
  3. Notify Housekeeping Manager and/or immediate supervisor about any guest rooms that need to be placed out of order for maintenance concerns.
  4. Responsible for cleaning of guest rooms, public spaces, exteriors, and Back of House daily.
  5. Continually maintain inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities to ensure adequate supplies in accordance with established par levels and timeframe.
  6. Maintain the storage rooms with at least one (1) par clean at all times.
  7. Report and correct any deficiencies noted in guest rooms or public areas to the appropriate individuals.
  8. Assist in the timely completion of all projects, including mattress rotation, window washing, deep cleanings, etc.
  9. Assist in implementation of special projects.
  10. Maintain a positive relationship with employees and guests.
  11. Maintain constant communication between all departments (i.e., room status).
  12. Promote and encourage guest name recognition at all times.
  13. Maintain knowledge of all guest services and amenities.
  14. Ensure all calls are answered in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
  15. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area.
  16. Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property.
  17. Keep abreast of safety and OSHA requirements.
  18. Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures.
  19. Attend all relevant meetings.
