The physician will deliver exceptional medical services to a diverse patient population in a quality-focused, efficient, and cost-effective manner at Mountain Park Health Center (MPHC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess and manage all patients in both outpatient and inpatient environments while adhering to established medical standards.
  • Provide recommendations to ensure that all programs receive adequate medical oversight prior to implementation.
  • Advise management regarding performance issues of medical support staff.
  • Evaluate patients promptly and courteously.
  • Admit patients with critical conditions requiring inpatient treatment.
  • Engage respectfully and collaboratively with all levels of staff, other healthcare providers, patients, and the public.
  • Contribute to the education and skill development of clinical staff, including medical students.
  • Comply with all MPHC Policies and Procedures not specifically outlined in the employment agreement.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure patients receive high-quality care in the clinic and from other healthcare providers, utilizing peer review, medical record audits, grievances, and other appropriate methods.
  • Attend medical staff meetings and other meetings as directed by the Vice President of the Department.
  • Engage in the development and execution of the annual health plan.
  • Participate in MPHC community events such as health fairs.
  • Embrace diversity and interact with internal staff and external contacts in a culturally competent and respectful manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Foster positive patient and guest relations in accordance with MPHC policies, delivering a high level of personal attention and service to patients and visitors.
  • Adhere to MPHC Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable governmental licensing and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct annual reviews and suggest ongoing revisions of the Policies and Procedures specific to the department.
  • Maintain familiarity with and comply with all established facility and departmental policies and procedures, noting changes as they are published.
  • Conduct oneself in alignment with the Mission Statement and Values of MPHC.
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding information related to patients, visitors, and colleagues, including salary information, if encountered during job functions.
  • Dress in accordance with MPHC's dress code policy and specific departmental regulations regarding employee appearance.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the facility's organizational structure by utilizing appropriate communication channels.
  • Maintain consistent and timely communication regarding all aspects of departmental activities with colleagues, demonstrating strong customer service skills with both external and internal customers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine with prior experience in primary care and excellent communication skills. Board Certified or Board Eligible.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS

Current Arizona Medical License, DEA Certificate, Board Certification or Letter Stating Board Eligibility, CPR Certification.
