As a key member of the SSM Health team, the MRI Department Manager oversees the daily operations of assigned department's imaging services. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to ensure quality in imaging, patient care, and workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve imaging quality, patient care, and work flow to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
- Oversee quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal imaging performance.
- Provide guidance and support to department staff and other team members as needed.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and performance.
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure optimal image quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards and guidelines.
- Completion of a radiology or MRI certification program.
- Two years' experience in MRI or radiology services.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech for oral communication.
- Frequent lifting and moving of patients.
- Occasional lifting and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
