Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator to join our team at Tekgence Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administering multi-Terabyte Oracle databases, with expertise in Goldengate and Real Application Testing (RAT).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer various multi-Terabyte, 24x7 uptime Oracle databases as a Systems/Infrastructure Database Administrator
  • Work with Oracle versions 11gR1/2, 12c, 19C in a Linux environment
  • Experience with Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance is a plus
  • Strong, proven Oracle Database Performance Diagnostic skills (at both the SQL and system levels)
  • Experience with features such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), CDB/PDB, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Active Data Guard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Golden Gate replication and Real Application Testing (RAT)
  • Experience with Backup and Recovery using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN)
  • Proficiency in installing and configuring complex database management system environments, creating and maintaining databases as well as backup and recovery
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to implement automated processes to improve database system reliability
  • Skill at troubleshooting complex problems
  • Background in IT infrastructure, including systems or network administration
  • Proficient development skills in a dynamic programming language such as Python, Javascript,.NET, Perl, PL/SQL, UNIX Shell Scripting
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile development methodology
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals

  • Understand client requirements, analyze and translate them into a feasible solution
  • Demonstrate and articulate performance enhancement solutions to clients and prospects
