Job Summary

This part-time, non-benefited instructor position is available to teach diagnostic medical sonography laboratory or lecture courses at Bismarck State College. The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting grades by the established deadline and other duties as assigned by the Dean of Current Emerging Technologies and/or the Assistant Dean of Current Emerging Technologies - Allied Health.

Responsibilities

Teach diagnostic medical sonography laboratory or lecture courses
Submit grades by the established deadline
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Current Emerging Technologies and/or the Assistant Dean of Current Emerging Technologies - Allied Health

Requirements

Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups
Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent written communication skills
Good computer software skills - Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, etc., electronic Calendar and E-mail, and strong Internet familiarity
Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdomen or OB/GYN

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of two years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography practice
College teaching experience
Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System
Experience with non-traditional teaching methods such as facilitating group work, use of inquiry-based and other active learning pedagogies, and/or contextualized instruction
