We are seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach lower-division classes in dental assisting at the University of New Mexico Gallup Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering face-to-face instruction, developing course materials, and assessing student learning.
Responsibilities- Teach lower-division classes in dental assisting, including courses such as medical terminology, CPR, and dental science
- Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
- Meet with students during assigned times, including evenings and weekends
- Certified Dental Assistant
- Bachelor's degree
- Three years of dental office experience
- Teaching experience
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
