Warehouse Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our team at VIP Staffing. As a Warehouse Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move materials around the warehouse, including loading and unloading them from vehicles. You will also be responsible for stacking materials in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions, and maintaining inventory levels. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing merchandise for safe transport, maintaining equipment, and following strict safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

Moving materials: Using a forklift to move materials around a warehouse, including loading and unloading them from vehicles
Stacking: Stacking materials in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
Maintaining inventory: Performing inventory cycle counts and monitoring inventory
Preparing merchandise: Securing merchandise for safe transport
Maintaining equipment: Performing regular maintenance on the forklift and other tools
Following safety protocols: Following strict safety protocols and helping to maintain a safe working environment
Completing documentation: Completing forms and handling documentation
Reporting issues: Identifying damages and reporting shortages or quality deficiencies

Requirements:

Must have forklift experience
Must be OK with working overtime
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to follow strict safety protocols

Working Conditions:

Work will be performed in a warehouse environment
