Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Johnson Service Group. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, and for implementing processes to improve our quality management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Corrective and Preventative Action Requests (CAR/PAR) to identify and address quality issues.
  • Perform Internal Audits to ensure compliance with our quality management system.
  • Coordinate outside test lab analysis as needed to verify product quality.
  • Assist in responding to customer requests for corrective and preventative actions, including failure analysis reports and root cause analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain company-wide metrics and KPIs to track quality performance.
  • Assist in company-wide audits by external certifying agencies and customers, such as our annual AS9100 audit.
  • Develop and maintain procurement specifications and control drawings for components used in our products.
  • Perform failure analysis on returned merchandise and in-house failures with engineering as needed.
  • Support our quality management system, including ISO 14001, DFARS, conflict minerals reporting, REACH & RoHS.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and team members to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project, to manage quality data and reports.
  • Develop and communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, such as TIPQA, and Agile.
  • Familiarity with AS9102 First Article, FMEA, SPC, and MSA tools.
  • Understanding of crystal oscillators or similar microelectronics, and experience with thermal and mechanical testing requirements for space applications.
  • Familiarity with chip wire hybrid and/or PCB construction methods, and experience with analytical techniques such as microscopy, cross section, SEM/EDS, and thermal testing FTIR.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma and hypothesis testing tools.
  • Passion for the space exploration and associated systems.
  • Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint, PowerAutomate, and Forms.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • 5+ years of working experience or 10+ years of commensurate experience.
  • Broad familiarity of concepts across physics and engineering disciplines.
  • Social proficiency in dealing with suppliers, customers, and fellow team members.
  • Proficient utilization of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong technical writing ability.
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO 9001 environment.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with AS9102 First Article, FMEA, SPC, and MSA tools.
  • Understanding of crystal oscillators or similar microelectronics.
  • Experience with thermal and mechanical testing requirements for space applications.
  • Familiarity with chip wire hybrid and/or PCB construction methods.
  • Experience with analytical techniques.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma and hypothesis testing tools.

Salary Range

$65,000+
