Job Summary:

As an Iron Operator at VESTIS, you will play a vital role in our industrial laundry facility. Your primary responsibility will be to handle merchandise safely, efficiently, and accurately, ensuring it meets our high quality standards. You will work collaboratively with our team to maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to best practices in all production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stage and feed merchandise onto the ironer to minimize wrinkling and tangling.
• Receive and fold merchandise from the ironer, identifying and segregating items that do not meet quality standards.
• Verify merchandise quantity and bundle items by type, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Place bundles in designated storage carts and maneuver full and empty carts safely.

Requirements:

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills and good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting attendance schedules and adapting to changing priorities.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a warehouse setting, exposing you to various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and noise levels.

Education:

A high school degree or equivalent is preferred.
