Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system that provides advanced care to a 21-county region in North Florida and South Georgia.

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Director/Pharmacy, Supervisor/Pharmacy, or a Pharmacist, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining confidential reports and entering/retrieving data utilizing the computer system
  • Filling automated medication dispensing systems with a supply of unit dose medications
  • Procuring and filling requests for pharmaceutical supplies
  • Delivering supplies to patient care areas
Requirements
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy (FLBOP) approved pharmacy technician training program
  • At least 18 years of age
  • FLBOP registration in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulations of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 465 (Pharmacy), Section 014 (Pharmacy Technician)
  • CPhT credential from the PTCB or the NHA within one (1) year post-hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six (6) to twelve (12) months of pharmacy experience
