Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at the University of Southern California Bookstore. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, and assisting with cashiering duties. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external customers, ensuring full satisfaction and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including shelving new stock, informing buyers of fast- and slow-selling stock, and ensuring merchandise is attractively displayed.
- Assist with cashiering duties, including performing all cashiering functions in accordance with department and university cash handling policies and procedures.
- Keep sales floor neat, clean, and fully-stocked, and maintain cashiering desk/areas in a clean, organized fashion.
- Assist with answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate person or department.
- Make tags for damaged merchandise, deliver daily to designated area, and return misplaced merchandise to correct department daily.
- Comply with all university and department policies and procedures.
- In the absence of department manager, supervise student workers and/or Retail Associate Trainees, and assist department manager in training new staff.
- Minimum Education: High school or equivalent.
- Minimum Experience: 6 - 12 months.
- Minimum Field of Expertise: Retail Sales.

- Preferred Field of Expertise: USC Retail Associate Trainee Experience.
