We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Parkwest Medical Center. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing polysomnography, including scoring, seizure hook up, rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (RBD), maintenance of wakefulness test (MWT), home sleep apnea test (HSAT), and multiple sleep latency test (MSLT), in the laboratory. You will also perform difficult or unusual procedures, accurately chart and maintain appropriate paperwork, arrange for maintenance and repair of polysomnography equipment, and follow policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform polysomnography, including scoring, seizure hook up, RBD, MWT, HSAT, and MSLT
  • Perform difficult or unusual procedures, such as complex sleep apnea, RDB, positive air pressure (PAP) titration, and seizure recognition
  • Accurately chart and maintain appropriate paperwork for polysomnography charting
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair of polysomnography equipment
  • Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in polysomnography, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also need to be registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) and licensed by the state of Tennessee as a Polysomnographic Technologist.
