Security Ambassador

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and the public.

• Facilitate Park-Wide Communication: Ensure seamless communication throughout the park via radio, phone, and email to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Monitor Weather Conditions: Continuously monitor weather conditions to ensure safe operation of all rides and attractions.
• Maintain Records and Logs: Accurately maintain records and logs to ensure timely and important information is accessible.
• Monitor Surveillance Cameras: Monitor video camera surveillance to ensure guest safety and enforce park policy.
• Maintain Safety Standards: Enforce safety standards and maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and vendors.
• Monitor Security Checkpoints: Inspect all bags and persons accessing or leaving the property to ensure a secure environment.
• Complete Routine Patrols: Conduct routine patrols of the park and surrounding properties on foot and in patrol vehicles.
• Provide a Safe Environment: Ensure guests, employees, and vendors have a safe and secure environment.
• Work Independently or in a Team: Work independently or within a team to provide a consistent message and security presence.
• Respond to Emergency Situations: Respond and provide aid for emergency situations.
• Complete Incident Reports: Accurately complete incident reports.
• Complete Assigned Tasks: Complete assigned tasks from management as needed.

• Age: At least 18 years of age.
• Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
• Security Experience: Minimum 1 year of Security, Law Enforcement, or comparable experience.
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Incident Reporting Experience: Experience in completing incident reports.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with high aptitude for computer software systems.
• Physical Abilities: Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Physical Demands: Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout the entire work shift.
• Physical Activities: Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp, and fine hand manipulation tasks.
• Cleaning Duties: Perform cleaning duties, including the use of cleaning chemicals.
• Compliance: Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
• Availability: Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat (both in and out of costume).
• Shift Rotations: Must be available to work shift rotations, including 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM, and 11:00 PM-7:30 AM.
• Safe Work Habits: Consistently practice safe work habits, including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations.
• Training Requirements: Ability to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements within established timelines.
