About the Role

Britt Medical Search is seeking a Board Certified, Virginia and Tennessee Licensed Psychiatrist to fill an In-Patient Staff Psychiatrist position in the southwestern part of Virginia. Job Overview

This 7-on/7-off schedule model requires a dedicated psychiatrist to work with a busy unit accepting referrals and admissions 24-hours-a-day, 365 days a year. The unit provides short-term stabilization and treatment for adults, aiming to return them to a level of acuity where comprehensive outpatient care can continue to improve their quality of life.

Unit Features

The unit boasts a large multipurpose treatment room, a group therapy room, a recreational therapy room, a kitchen, laundry room, offices, and work areas. A wide range of therapeutic modalities are provided, including daily rounds by the Psychiatry Team, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, on-site case management, utilization review, recreational activities, pharmacology, family therapy, and educational services.
