About This Role:

As a Medical Oncology CRNP, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to Medical Oncology patients within the guidelines of the collaborative agreement with the Medical Director, Women's Cancer Center.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient care to Medical Oncology patients.
  • Work closely with Medical Oncology physicians and staff.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's needs.
  • Obtain AOCNP certification within 3 years of hire.
  • Complete UPMC Anticancer therapy course and exam within 1 year of hire.

Requirements:

  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Graduate from an accredited NP program with a Master's of Science in Nursing.
  • Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate with diverse populations.
  • Leadership skills to direct others toward the successful treatment of patients.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate patient status and healthcare procedures/techniques.
  • Fiscal skills to monitor and control costs and revenue.
  • Ability to assist staff in times of crisis or emergency.
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and implement new ideas or systems.
