About This Role:
As a Medical Oncology CRNP, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to Medical Oncology patients within the guidelines of the collaborative agreement with the Medical Director, Women's Cancer Center.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care to Medical Oncology patients.
- Work closely with Medical Oncology physicians and staff.
- Develop and implement patient care plans based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's needs.
- Obtain AOCNP certification within 3 years of hire.
- Complete UPMC Anticancer therapy course and exam within 1 year of hire.
Requirements:
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Graduate from an accredited NP program with a Master's of Science in Nursing.
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate with diverse populations.
- Leadership skills to direct others toward the successful treatment of patients.
- Analytical skills to evaluate patient status and healthcare procedures/techniques.
- Fiscal skills to monitor and control costs and revenue.
- Ability to assist staff in times of crisis or emergency.
- Ability to conceptualize, develop, and implement new ideas or systems.
