Job Summary:

The Operating Room Nurse Specialist will provide comprehensive assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and coordinate healthcare services to achieve best practice outcomes. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care
  • Coordinate healthcare services and support patient/family transition planning
  • Advocate for patients' rights and provide counsel to resolve issues
  • Mentor staff in understanding and advocating for relationship-based care initiatives
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve desired patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • 1 year of direct Operating Room experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Licensure - Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
  • Certification - Basic Life Support
