Position Summary
KIPP Jacksonville is seeking a Facilities Engineer to oversee the maintenance and security of our school facilities. Reporting directly to the Director of Facilities, this role is crucial for ensuring that our buildings are safe, functional, and conducive to learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilities Management (60%)
Conduct preventive maintenance and necessary repairs, ensuring all systems operate efficiently. Supervise contracted vendors for maintenance tasks and monitor critical equipment operations. - Administrative Duties (30%)
Manage facility budgets and oversee special projects. Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed on time and within budget, while keeping the custodial staff informed of any facility-related issues. - Operational Support (10%)
Collaborate with school leadership to address facility concerns and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Respond to emergencies and coordinate maintenance schedules effectively.
