Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Live Support Superintendent to join our team at Foster Farms. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure the smooth operation of our chicken live production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and control field compliance with grow out, disease prevention, and quality programs.
  • Coordinate with and inform technical, personnel, administrative, service, and other managers of any information that could affect their decisions or influence bird performance.
  • Control inventories and costs at the Collier Warehouse as well as rice hull and shaving inventories for chicken and turkeys.
  • Maintain an efficient brooder crew that operates efficiently and safely, including maintaining promotable people on the brooder crew with interest in advancement.
  • Manage clean up/set up of fryer ranch facilities, equipment, and landscaping, including vehicular, industrial safety, and maintenance awareness programs.
  • Maintain good inter-company, community, and employer/employee relations.
  • Assist in the development and submission of proposals, budgets, and projections for fryer and production facilities and activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, Ag-business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of production supervisory experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and change direction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and solid knowledge of PC-Excel and Word.
  • Highly self-motivated, assertive, objective, resourceful, and able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and critical thinking ability.
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License and clean DMV record.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to follow and enforce all company guidelines and policies.
