Key Responsibilities

The Speech Therapist will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Documenting patient progress and modifying treatment strategies as necessary.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment goals and techniques.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintaining accurate records and adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.

Skills and Experience
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using technology and medical equipment relevant to speech therapy.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
