Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.

Salary Components:

  • Base salary plus annual quality bonus with a target of $15,000

Job Description

As a primary care clinician with WellMed, you'll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone. You'll have the clinical resources, data, and support of a global organization behind you, allowing you to focus on providing exceptional patient care.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population, working collaboratively with our primary care physicians (IM & FM), hospitalists, and network of employed/contracted sub-specialists.

  • 160 hours PTO in the first year, plus 5 days for CME, and 8 national holidays off
  • Strong clinical support team, including RNs, LVNs, MAs, nurse educators, case managers, clinic administrators, referral managers, coders, centralized scheduling, nurse advice line, and robust IT

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board or the ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment
  • 1+ year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population
