Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Airworthiness Inspector Sr A&P to join our team in GAC Van Nuys.
Job Summary:The Senior Airworthiness Inspector Sr A&P will be responsible for ensuring that all aircraft, aircraft components, and related paperwork meet the highest standards of quality and airworthiness. This role requires a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA forms, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct quality control inspections on aircraft and components to ensure conformity to FAA-approved data.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection requirements on aircraft during maintenance or outfitting.
- Keep accurate and legible records of work performed on aircraft and components.
- Coordinate with RTS to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timely manner.
- Conduct audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all aircraft prior to approval for return to service.
- Ensure aircraft and components are airworthy prior to any flight activities.
- Mentor technicians on effective documentation.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 6 years aircraft/component inspection experience, including 3 years on large or mid-size aircraft.
- Airframe and Powerplant License required.
- Proficient in blueprint reading, use/interpretation of Maintenance Manuals, test specifications, and other inspection-related documentation.
- Familiar with FAA certification approval processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and typing speed of 20 WPM.
This is a full-time position with up to 50% travel. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and FAA documentation. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for quality and airworthiness, we encourage you to apply.
