As a skilled LPN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in our Nephrology Clinic at Mount Nittany Health. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing patients for examination, administering medications, and assisting the provider with procedures and tests.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for examination and administer medications as directed by the provider.
- Assist the provider with procedures and tests, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
- One year of medical office and patient care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical practice and patient care, medical equipment and instruments, and examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
- Knowledge of physician office procedures and medical terminology.
- Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions.
- Pennsylvania Practical Nursing License.
- BLS certification required.
Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, in a fast-paced and dynamic Nephrology Clinic setting.
